Local Food Stands, Farms, and CSAs

IN RIDGEFIELD

The Hickories is a local CSA and farm stand that cells certified organic fruits, vegetables, and other farm products. It is located on Lounsbury Road. For more information, please see their website at www.thehickories.org.

The Garden of Ideas is a CSA and vegetable stand located at 647 North Salem Road. In addition to buying fruit and vegetables, visitors can also walk through the beautiful gardens. For more information, please visit www.gardenofideas.com.

Simpaug Farms, a 250 acre farm located in CT River Valley, offering a CSA  with a local weekly pick-up in Ridgefield. Part of the CT Dept of  Agriculture  Farmland Preservation Program, Simpaug Farms is in the process of obtaining organic certification. Shares $495 per season which runs mid June - mid October.
