Talking Trash

Where: Dayton Room of the Ridgefield Library

When: July 9th 7 pm

Discover where your trash goes once it's picked up from your curbside.  Also, get THE definitive list on what you can recycle.  A panel of local trash experts will answer all your questions.  Our panel will include the manager of Wheelabrator in Bridgeport, the company that handles our trash once it reaches the transfer station [you may be surprised at what they do with it].  Also, meet a rep from Hudson Baylor, operator of our recycling center, as well as the director of the Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority that regulates local trash and recycling by haulers who do curbside pick up.  Plus, RACE's own John Papa will reveal how his family has significantly reduced their household waste. Don't miss it! This program is co sponsored by RACE and the Ridgefield Library.
