RACE is made up of volunteers and open to all residents who want to help our community live sustainably and be good stewards for the earth.  Serving in an advisory capacity to Ridgefield's First Selectman, our mission is to raise awareness, educate and bring about action  for the:
  • responsible use of energy
  • conservation of natural resources, and
  • reduction of waste

Household Hazardous Waste Day - Saturday May 18th!

Get rid of your hazardous household chemicals for free!  9 am - 2 pm @ the Public Works Facility, 4 Turkey Hill Road in Newtown.  Includes oil-based paints, stains, fertilizer, gasoline, kerosene, pool chemicals, and thermostats.
